Joining Gypsy Booth School of Theatre Arts offers up the opportunity to build confidence, perfect a much-loved hobby, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and have a huge amount of fun at the same time. However, for those that show exceptional ability and a desire to work in theatre, the school has the capacity to coach for a future career in performance art.
The school has been a registered centre for GCSE and A'Level qualification exams for almost 20 years, and grades across the board of Watford dance and theatre genres are of an exceptionally high standard at 99% 'A*' to ‘A’ grade. So, it is no surprise that the school has never failed to produce its fair share of television and film actors, West End show performers, and dancers in prestigious ballet companies
Below are a few dancers and actors who developed their passion and ability at Watford's Gypsy Booth School of Theatre Arts.
Natalie received all her ballet, jazz and contemporary training at Gypsy Booth School of Theatre Arts, and in 2009 became just the fifth British female dancer in history to be accepted at Russia's Bolshoi School. Natalie's achievement won media coverage from across the globe, and you can read the BBC report by clicking here. You can stay up to date with Natalie's progress by reading her blog, just click here.
Since leaving Gypsy Booth School of Theatre Arts Dominic has used his dancing and acting training to win a place at the Alvin Ailey American Theatre Company (New York). He has performed in the West End show Hairspray, and also joined a world tour of Daddy Cool. Dominic was also a dancer on the Brit Awards, performing with Whitney Houston.
